Beat the heat this summer with something cold, sweet and really creamy. BONO ARTISANAL GELATO is the newest gelateria located at 2F of SM Makati next to the bridge that connects to Glorietta.
My family and I were on a shopping when I first discovered this place. If you're heading to SM Makati from Glorietta, you'll be surprised to see this cute little place, and as well be tempted to try their gelato.
They use these traditional Pozzetto cabinets (stainless thingy) to ensure the least amount of air & light contamination and freshness while also preserving a constant temperature. Quick trivia: The owners actually went to a Gelato Univeristy in Italy to study. Now, I can say they're dead serious about giving us "The Real Scoop" or taste.
"BONO" was derived from the Italian word "Buono," which means good or great. In Rome, most locals colloquially say "Bono" to mean "ok!" (c) Bono Gelato
So it was only me, and my youngest sib who tried their creamy and legit gelato. We ordered two scoops, one was their best seller Speculoos Gelato, made with speculoos cookies, ha! We loved it! The chunks of cookies in every bite makes me want to buy Speculoos of TJs. Another flavor we tried, was their Mint Chocolate Chip and Pistachio, (Ohh pistachio) too much feels, the roasted pistachio <3
