Pandas Everywhere! Panda Hotel, Hong Kong!

image

Panda Hotel is located at 3 Tsuen Wah Street, Tsuen Wan Hong Kong. If you're in love or obsessed with pandas, this is exactly the place for you.

image

I wasn't really expecting much from this hotel, just because my ultimate goal is to explore Hong Kong not spend most of the time inside the hotel. First, the hotel smells really nice. And everything seems so fresh and tidy.

Who's not gonna love these pandas? They're soooo cute! Plus, they're real and they do talk! Okay, I'm kidding! Haha More pandas here...

image

image

Nah. That's not a panda! Hahaha She's my sister.
And since, we still have to wait for an hour because their check-in time is at 1400. We went down to explore the place. Why went down? Because their lobby is located at the 3rd floor of the building. Shops and restaurants are located below the 3rd floor. That's another reason why I love this hotel, mall is located inside the building plus you get to choose to eat at different restaurants. You may use the escalator going down (or to the mall), or if you're too lazy to walk few steps, then better use their elevators. :)

Mall located inside the hotel building. Ground floor, Basement 1 and so on.

Facing the Panda Hotel building slash Mall is another shopping center called, Sunshine.

Panda Hotel's hallway:

(Our room is at 20th floor of the building, room 2028 a family room to be specific. Just beside the elevator.)

Dining area:

Mini bar, with complimentary drinking water, coffee, tea, and more.

Then the second room:

Since we're three (3), we asked for an extra bed. So here's how it looks like. Haha

And both rooms with these stuff:
  • Mirrors and Hair dryer
  • Slippers (which they provide you another clean one everyday)
image
  • Drawer with telephone, notepad, radio, and light controls
image
  • Shower room / toilet / bathtub with toothbrush/paste, shower cap, cotton pads & buds, razor, comb, emery board, lotion, hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand, face & bath towels, bathrobes and lots of tissue. They clean everything and change the towels (used or unused) EVERYDAY (not when you just asked them to). ;) The only thing I hated... they don't have bidet! Huhu

More hotel facilities here.

Over-all we loved our hotel stay for four (4) days and three (3) nights at Panda Hotel. Like I said, everything is clean and fresh. The bed is soooo soft, that we did get a good night sleep despite of the long walks we had from the day. Hotel's front desk is open 24 hours to serve you. Free wifi at the Panda Place mall, but for only 20 minutes a day. They're all nice and good looking haha The hotel maybe far from the big city, but a lot of great establishments are located nearby such as the Panda Place, the mall inside the building. Sunshine mall, for cheap finds. Citystore, a five (5) minute walk from the hotel. Citywalk, more or less ten (10) minute walk. And more shopping arcades. Park, such as Jockey Club Tak Wah Park. Plus there's a church nearby, less than five (5) minute walk. :)

Btw, there's a free shuttle from the hotel to Tsim Sha Tsui every hour starting 0700 til 2200 (Pick-up Point: 3F Hotel Driveway) Midway drop-off points Mong Kok and China Harbour City (but you have to notify the driver). And from Tsim Sha Tsui to the hotel every hour starting 0745 til 2245 (Pick-up Point DFS Galleria at Peking Road in TST).

*This ends our first day. Explored the hotel, and the places nearby.

  1. Hi.
Just want to ask how you booked your hotel, through the website?
Would you know the maximum number of people allowed in a Family Room.

I noticed that there are 2 bedrooms, and you asked for an extra bed, still.

I asked because I am looking for a place to stay, we are a group of 7
5 adults and 2 kids ages 5 and 3. I am thinking if its possible to just stay in 1 family room.

Is the shuttle bus always operating during your stay and I understand its free?
Was it an easy commute to Disneyland? to and from the airport.

Apologies for the many questions as this will be my first time in HK with kids and
I usually stay in the city center but since the travel if really intended for the Disney visit
(and hotel inside is sooooo expensive) for the kids, I am looking for alternative accommodations
wherein public transpo woould not be much of a problem.

    Thank you!

    Thanks.
