Known as the Rodeo Capital of the Philippines. Masbate is an island province in the Bicol Region, which lies roughly in the middle of the nation's archipelago. Its capital is Masbate City, and consists of three major islands: Masbate, Ticao and Burias.
Halea Nature Park (one of Ticao's gem) see more for details
Masbate is endowed with rich natural resources, and other industries such as large farming, livestock and poultry raising. Along its coastal areas, fishing industry predominates. Agricultural lands are planted with rice, corn, root-crops and coconut.
Video of our 4d3n Masbate trip
My friends booked me a ticket to Legazpi for our Masbate trip. You can either book a flight to Legazpi and then a FastCraft to Masbate, or a direct flight to Masbate City. (Watch out for seat sales! Masbate airfare were tad expensive as compare to International flight, or other Local destination.)
So there, from Legazpi Airport, you can either hail a tricycle, or rent a van going to the port located in Pilar, Sorsogon.
Our driver allowed us to stop, and take few photos. Mayon was covered with thick gloomy clouds.
Time check, 0720! Luckily, we scored an 8AM trip! We took a quick breakfast at a carinderia nearby, and hop aboard!
Note! Montenegro Fast Craft (Pilar Sorsogon to Masbate)
